Appreciating the Value of Others in 2009
Every person we encounter is someone that matters deeply to Jesus. When we live our lives with this in the forefront of our thinking we realize that all are precious in His sight.

God forgives those who repent.
This fact frustrated Jonah who would rather that God destroy the heathen Ninovites than save them from destruction.
Jonah suffered a lot because he would not cooperate with God's Mercy. The Bible says something like. "I will have Mercy on who I will have Mercy."
Thank God he is patient with us (even those we do not like) and long suffering and slow to wrath and full of Mercy.
When I read this, I feel the need to be very careful to view others through the mercy and grace of Jesus.
We all fall short! each of us is the reason that Jesus needed to experience the sacrafice of the cross.
And I think about how I want to be treated with mercy and grace after messing up.
I think that when we live with this reminder and act upon it, the Lord can use us greatly for His glory. There are a lot of people who don't relize their value or understand the grace of the Lord. But when we treat people the way Jesus would, they get a taste of who the Lord is and that could soften a lot of people's hearts. Even in the Church.
